F.A.Q.

WHO ARE CRI GROUP’S MAIN CLIENTS?
  • CRI Group’s clients are mainly different European Institutions based in the Belgium and Luxembourg regions. European Parliament, European Council, European External Action Service and European Aviation Safety Agency are just some of them. With the DIGIT-TM contract with the European Commission, we also serve its multiple departments called Directorate-Generals (DGs), each of a different size, purpose and budget.
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU REQUIRE YOUR EMPLOYEES TO HAVE?
  • What is in common to most of the request we handle is ICT related experience. What we look for are people with experience in the field of IT software engineering, IT system development, conception, maintenance, administration and support. Moreover, specific experience that is required always depends on the needs of a specific client and a specific request. Our consultants range from Juniors with less than 1 year of professional experience up to Seniors with more than 30 years in the field. The key thing is that requirements for most of the request are not negotiable when it comes to public institutions, because they operate with public funds. Having this in mind, it is very important to state all your professional experience, education and certifications very precisely in your CV so we can make sure to propose you to an adequate request and enable you to get selected for a job you are interested in. We know it is a bit time consuming and tiresome to write down all technologies for each professional experience, but it will make the difference for being selected for the position or not.
WHAT CV (RESUME) FORMAT DO YOU REQUIRE?
  • https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu However, whichever format you decide to use, the most important thing isto provide as much details as possibleon the roles and responsibilities you’ve had along your IT career, and in particular, the full and complete list of technologies used in every project together with dates (including both the year and the month). This is the main way we assess compliance with our positions, so missing a technology in your CV, even if it’s an obvious one, can lead to mistakes being made and job applications being wrong fully discarded. Please pay particular attention to this.
WHAT TYPE OF CONTRACT WILL I SIGN WITH CRI IF I GET SELECTED FOR A POSITION?
  • The contract you sign with CRI as an employee is an open-ended contract (i.e. a contract for an indefinite period). The missions or projects you carry on by working as a Consultant for our clients last between 1 and 7 years, with 2-3 years being the average length of a mission. If the mission is particularly short, or if it requires an exceptionally long commitment, we will always inform you of the situation. When your project ends, we take into account your job performance and professional aspirations and do our best to provide you with the most suitable next m.
HOW MANY DAYS OF HOLIDAYS DO I GET AS AN EMPLOYEE?
  • Employees in Luxembourg are entitled to 25 days of paid annual holidays while those in Belgium are entitled to 20 days. Moreover, in Belgium, as a result of working 40 hours a week (in comparison to a norm of 38 hours a week), you get 1 extra day of holidays per month(leading to additional 12 days of holiday per year). In both countries, the total number of days of holidays is proportional to the time you previously worked in a calendar year (this means that you basically need to work to earn and accumulate your days of holidays). In Luxembourg you are not entitled to take holidays during the first 3 months of your work, while in Belgium you are not entitled to take holidays during the first calendar year of your work. Both countries have approximately 10 days of public holidays per year!
WHAT BENEFITS AM I ENTITLED TO WITH A CRI GROUP EMPLOYEE CONTRACT?
  • The employment benefits depend on whether you will be working in Luxembourg or Belgium region. In both countries you will be provided with the contract that grants you excellent social security, including healthcare, retirement savings, family allocations and unemployment benefits. In addition, CRI Belgium will provide you with Meal vouchers (chèques-repas) which you can use to buy food, Eco-vouchers (écochèques) which you can use to buy ecological products, private life and hospitalisation insurance, paid leave for trainings that are demanded by our Clients and finally unlimited access to a learning platform comprising more than 10 000 different courses.
